This afternoon, December 28, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the National Political Publishing House Truth to organize a national online conference to summarize 15 years of implementing the Project to provide books to communes, wards and towns (2009 - 2023).

From 2009 to 2023, implementing the direction of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, the Central Propaganda Department and the National Political Publishing House have coordinated with central departments, ministries, branches and localities to implement the Project of providing books for communes, wards and towns to contribute to innovation and improve the quality of the grassroots political system, meet the requirements of the new development period and improve the knowledge of all classes of people.

Accordingly, the project has provided nearly 593 books (both CD-ROM and CD Audio) with a total of 14,408,340 printed copies to the grassroots. The project's books include main contents such as: knowledge on Party building, government, and mass organizations at the grassroots level; books on the life, career, ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh; the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation; on border and island sovereignty ; knowledge and skills in Party work, Front work, and mass organizations; leadership and management skills of Party secretaries, chairmen, vice chairmen of People's Committees, commune-level civil servant positions, and activities of People's Councils at the commune level; activities of village and residential group heads; new rural construction; dissemination of livestock and crop breeding techniques, experiences in getting rich, typical examples of good farmers in production and business; family health care; knowledge and skills for youth, teenagers, and children...

The content of the project's books ensures accuracy, objectivity, science, and updates with the latest information. The compiled books are manuals, many of which are presented in a question-and-answer format that is easy to read, easy to understand, easy to remember, with updated information and new knowledge, easy to look up, easy to apply, and suitable for the target audience of cadres, party members, and people at the grassroots level.

According to the survey results in October 2023 in some provinces in the North, Central and South, over 75% of the surveyed officials have accessed the book genres of the project. Through the project, it has contributed to raising awareness, consolidating knowledge, applying in the process of performing professional tasks, applying in the management and leadership of officials, party members, in labor and production of the People.

At the conference, delegates from central ministries, branches and provinces and cities presented a number of papers and made recommendations and proposals related to the project in the next phase.

Speaking at the conference, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that in the coming time, central committees, ministries, branches and localities continue to organize the implementation of the Party Central Committee's policy on deploying the Project to provide books to communes, wards and towns to provide official and reliable information, ensuring objectivity and science, updating the latest information on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to promptly meeting the needs of self-study, reference and study of cadres and party members and improving the knowledge of people at the grassroots level.

Improve the quality of content, form, and attractiveness of books, ensure the practicality and effectiveness of the project; diversify publishing methods, promote e-book publishing. Strengthen the responsibility of Party committees and authorities at all levels in managing, researching, and studying books of the project.

On this occasion, the Central Propaganda Department commended units with many achievements in implementing the project over the past 15 years.
