Lighting up the dream of homeland

The electric poles that were once covered with advertising leaflets in Hoang Loc commune are now “blossoming” with brilliant colors. Hundreds of meters of murals depicting the space “Nhat tu vi su” and the stories of Trang Quynh were meticulously painted by young people on the old, peeling walls. This is not only to beautify the countryside but also to show the strong culture of the “doctoral village” - where 12 feudal doctors were named on the golden board of the great scholars.

That scene has spread throughout the countryside in the province. The shabby, mossy walls have been replaced by vivid paintings of peaceful village landscapes, love for the homeland's sea and islands, messages of environmental protection and traffic safety. Many localities have deployed unique "fresco roads" with the enthusiastic participation of thousands of union members and youth.

According to the summary report of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 42-CT/TW of the Provincial Party Committee, in the past 10 years, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has mobilized union members and youth to participate in the construction of more than 61,000 youth works and projects, with a value of more than 300 billion VND, contributing thousands of working days to participate in volunteer activities for the community.

These figures are reflected in each practical work such as: providing free medical examination and medicine to 45,980 poor people and policy families; mobilizing 66,648 union members and youths to register for voluntary blood donation, collecting 41,150 units of safe blood; mobilizing more than 100,000 youth volunteers to support working days to help people complete the winter-spring crop; building 94 charity houses, 8 beautiful schools for children, 1 boarding house for children; giving 191,786 gifts to policy families, poor households, and students in difficult circumstances worth 67.6 billion VND; repairing and upgrading 1,350km of roads; dredging 900km of intra-field canals.

In addition, the young generation in the province has actively implemented humanitarian initiatives such as: "Installing warning signs for dangerous deep water areas", "Rescue tires", "Building mini swimming pools to prevent drowning" with 2,501 warning signs, 1,500 life buoys and 15 mobile swimming pools. The model of "Renovating mixed gardens, developing household garden economy " in mountainous communes has contributed to increasing people's income.

This achievement was achieved thanks to the attention paid to the work of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics and cultural lifestyle for the young generation. Immediately after the issuance of Directive No. 42-CT/TW, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued many documents to lead and direct the implementation. This implementation was associated with the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW on "promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle", creating a strong influence, contributing significantly to the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arousing the aspiration to build the homeland among union members and youth.

From the movements, many outstanding people have been selected for training and admission to the Party. Over the past 10 years, the whole province has introduced 28,450 outstanding members to attend Party awareness training courses, of which 24,771 outstanding members and youth have been admitted to the Party. Notably, the proportion of new Party members in the youth age group accounts for more than 70% of the total number of newly admitted Party members.

Building a young generation of courage and ambition

Currently, the whole province has more than 1 million young people (aged 16 - 30), accounting for nearly 30% of the population and 50% of the province's labor force. This is the main resource contributing to the province's socio-economic development. Therefore, the province has identified key tasks in the period of 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045, with the goal of continuing to effectively accompany the young generation. In particular, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the coordination between all levels, sectors and the social community in educating revolutionary ideals, ethics and cultural lifestyles for the young generation. At the same time, it is necessary to promote coordination between schools, families and society in educating the young generation; promote the role and responsibility of families in nurturing, educating and protecting youth and children, and work with schools to educate and shape the personality and equip the young generation with the necessary knowledge and skills for comprehensive development. Exploit and effectively use modern media and scientific and technological achievements in youth and children education.

One of the important goals is to build a beautiful image of Thanh Hoa youth with criteria and core values for union members and youth to aspire to, contributing to building a generation of youth with political courage, awareness of law compliance, revolutionary ethics and a beautiful lifestyle, patriotism, dreams, ambitions, and aspirations to build a strong homeland and country. In particular, the province will pay attention to and have policies to reward young talents; good examples of good people and good deeds; have plans to nurture and train young talents to become experts in various fields, to be the "locomotives" leading youth movements and activities.

After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 42-CT/TW, under the leadership of the Party, the young generation in the province has had a strong change in awareness and action. From murals to tens of thousands of youth works are vivid evidence, creating a solid foundation to continue to foster a young generation with ideals, courage, ready to take on the mission of building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
