President Putin said he was confident in the military campaign in Ukraine.

Russian television on June 25 broadcast an interview with President Vladimir Putin, in which the leader said he was in constant contact with the Defense Ministry about the special military operation in Ukraine, according to Reuters.

President Putin said he prioritized the operation, starting and ending each day with it. "Of course I pay the first attention to it. My working day begins and ends with this operation," Putin said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, broadcast on Rossiya 1. The leader expressed confidence in the implementation of the plans and tasks related to the operation. President Putin will attend a meeting of the Russian Security Council next week.

According to Reuters, Mr. Zarubin said the interview was conducted after a meeting with cadets, referring to an event on June 21. However, it was broadcast after the rebellion by the Wagner private military force was ended by the arrangement of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Previously, President Putin announced that anyone involved in the treason would be punished, according to RT.

The Kremlin announced that Mr. Lukashenko had negotiated with Mr. Prigozhin and reached an agreement to resolve the tension. Mr. Prigozhin will not be prosecuted but will have to go to Belarus. All Wagner forces will withdraw from Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh and other rebel-related areas to their bases. They will not be prosecuted because of their military service in Ukraine. President Putin has promised to let Mr. Prigozhin go to Belarus.

In a related development, the Chinese Foreign Ministry on June 25 announced its support for the Russian leadership's efforts to stabilize the domestic situation after the Wagner rebellion, AFP reported. The statement was made on the same day Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko met with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang in Beijing to discuss bilateral and international issues.
