High schools in Ho Chi Minh City urgently warn parents and 12th grade students about a new scam after the 2025 high school graduation exam results were released.

Bui Thi Xuan High School, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City has just issued an urgent warning to parents and 12th grade students of the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, there are currently scammers impersonating staff of Bui Thi Xuan High School or universities. They call parents and 12th grade students to inform them that they have been admitted, requesting money transfers, information, ID cards, etc. to complete the application.

"The school recommends that parents and students absolutely do not follow this; do not transfer money, do not provide personal information; in case of suspicion, immediately contact the homeroom teacher for verification," the warning stated.

Similarly, Ten Lo Man High School, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City also sent an urgent notice, asking parents and 12th grade students to be vigilant against a new scam.

"University admission information will be officially announced on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training and each university. There will be no notification by phone or request for students to pay in advance" - Ten Lo Man High School noted.

It is known that after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2025 high school graduation exam scores, a 12A3 student of Bui Thi Xuan High School received a phone call from a person claiming to be an academic staff of the school. This person asked the student to provide more personal information to complete the university admission application via the link.

In addition, another student of Bui Thi Xuan High School also received a phone call impersonating the university informing him of his admission and requesting a money transfer.

However, the students were suspicious and contacted their homeroom teacher for verification.

According to the board of directors of Bui Thi Xuan High School, high schools have now completed data entry for 12th grade students taking the 2025 high school graduation exam. Therefore, the school will not require students to provide additional information to complete their application.

For university admission applications, students need to stay calm, carefully study the information, and if they have any questions, contact their homeroom teacher or school for support, guidance, and answers.
