Ho Chi Minh City starts construction of smart power grid in Con Dao, aiming for a "green - smart - livable island"

(HTV) - On the morning of September 26, Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation started construction of a smart power grid in Con Dao, marking an important step in the development orientation of a "green - smart - livable island".

With the orientation of turning Con Dao into a “green – smart – livable island”, on the morning of September 26, Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation officially started the project “Building a smart power grid in Con Dao Special Zone” . This is a key energy infrastructure project, with important political – economic – social significance, creating a solid foundation for the green and sustainable development of the locality.

The project will synchronously apply many modern solutions such as: automatic metering system, automation and remote control of transformer stations, integration of renewable energy sources, grid operation using artificial intelligence... Thereby, contributing to reducing power loss, increasing operational efficiency and protecting the environment.

The project "Building a smart power grid in Con Dao Special Zone" applies many modern solutions synchronously.

Mr. Luan Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation, emphasized: the deployment of smart grid not only improves the efficiency of electricity supply but also creates conditions for integrating green energy, battery storage systems and electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the next phase, in line with the sustainable development orientation of Con Dao.

The construction of a smart grid in Con Dao Special Economic Zone is not only a simple power project but also affirms the political determination and spirit of the electricity industry in making Con Dao a modern, smart, green and livable marine economic -ecological zone.
