Ho Chi Minh City urgently plans to conduct a general inspection of all rental houses and mini apartments.

(NLDO)- From now until October 30, Ho Chi Minh City will inspect all establishments operating in the field of boarding houses, rental houses, multi-apartment houses (commonly known as mini apartments), collective houses, and old apartments in the area.

On September 19, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Ngo Minh Chau signed an urgent plan to organize a general review and inspection of fire prevention and fighting and rescue work for lodging establishments, rental houses, multi-apartment houses (commonly known as mini apartments), collective houses, and old apartments in the area.

Ho Chi Minh City's plan aims to improve the effectiveness of state management of fire prevention, fighting, rescue, and prevention, repelling and ending fires with particularly serious consequences.

Relevant units need to investigate, survey, and grasp the situation of activities related to fire prevention and fighting, rescue at boarding houses, rental houses, multi-apartment houses, collective houses, and old apartments. The existing problems, difficulties, and inadequacies in State management of these types of businesses need to be resolved.

According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will conduct a general inspection and handle 100% of violations of fire prevention and fighting and rescue. Violating establishments must be temporarily suspended or have their operations suspended in accordance with regulations. Violating establishments or establishments with high risk of fire and explosion must not be allowed to continue operating.

From the time the plan is issued until October 30, Ho Chi Minh City will inspect all establishments operating in the field of boarding houses, rental houses, multi-apartment houses, collective houses, and old apartment buildings in the area.

Ho Chi Minh City will establish inspection teams at city, district and commune levels. At each level, a government representative will head the team.

The inspection teams will review fire prevention and fighting and rescue conditions at each facility.

Ho Chi Minh City also inspects and guides the management of construction and renovation activities of boarding houses, rental houses, multi-apartment houses, collective houses, and old apartment buildings to ensure compliance with construction planning, construction permits, construction quality, and compliance with business registration of boarding houses and rental houses.
