Ho Chi Minh City recruits excellent students and young scientists to become teachers at specialized schools.

In preparation for the 2024-2025 school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the recruitment of math teachers and IT teachers to teach at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, one teacher for each position.

The Department of Education and Training stipulates that candidates registering to recruit teachers must ensure the standards prescribed in Article 2 of Decree No. 140/2017/ND-CP dated December 5, 2017 of the Government, specifically:

Students who graduated with honors from a university in the country or abroad and are recognized as equivalent in terms of diplomas and certificates according to the provisions of law; Have excellent academic and training results in all years of university study, within the age range specified in Article 1 of the Youth Law at the time of application submission and meet one of the following criteria:

• Won third prize or higher in one of the provincial-level excellent student selection competitions, won an encouragement prize or higher in the national excellent student selection competitions, or received a certificate of merit or higher in the international excellent student selection competitions in one of the natural sciences (math, physics, chemistry, biology, informatics) and social sciences (literature, history, geography, foreign languages) during high school.
• Won third prize or higher in national or international science and technology competitions during high school or university years.
• Won third prize or higher in an individual Olympic competition in one of the following subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, informatics or other majors during university study recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The Department of Education and Training stipulates that the recruitment form is a 2-round selection process, specifically:

• Round 1: Consider the study and research results (if any) of the candidate according to the standards specified in Article 2 of Decree No. 140/2017/ND-CP.
• Round 2: Interview on the candidate's professional qualifications and skills. Interview duration is 30 minutes (candidates have no more than 15 minutes to prepare before the interview). Interview scores are calculated on a 100-point scale.

Candidates submit their application documents directly or send them by post to the Department of Education and Training (Reception and Result Delivery Department, address 66-68 Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) from August 26 to 5:00 p.m. on September 24.

The 2023-2024 school year is the first year that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has organized the recruitment of teachers from excellent students. As a result, 2 successful candidates were assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training to work at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted with policies and conditions to promote their abilities as well as participate in training topics for excellent students for the school and the city.
