The 'competition rate' for teacher recruitment in Hanoi is very high.

GD&TĐ - The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that it has received 7,200 applications to recruit teachers and staff in 2025, of which the target is 942 people.

According to the plan approved by the City People's Committee, the total recruitment target for civil servants working at schools under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training in 2025 is 942 people, including 848 teachers and 94 staff. More than 7,200 recruitment applications have been sent to the Department.

On October 17, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the list of eligible candidates at the Department's electronic information portal (http://hanoi.edu.vn or http://sogd.hanoi.gov.vn) and at the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (No. 23, Quang Trung Street, Cua Nam Ward).

Regarding recruitment, Hanoi applies the selection method according to Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP and Decree No. 85/2023/ND-CP of the Government regulating the recruitment, use and management of civil servants.

In which, round 1 checks the eligibility requirements in the Application Form according to the requirements of the job position to be recruited. If the applicant meets the requirements, he/she will be allowed to participate in round 2. The exam time for round 1 is expected to be on November 1 and 2, 2025. In round 2, candidates will take a written exam on professional and specialized subjects; the test time is 180 minutes.

Candidates for recruitment as teachers in general schools (including specialized high schools and specialized schools) take a professional exam with the following contents: Developing a lesson plan (lesson plan) to organize teaching for 1 period in class; guiding students to solve a subject knowledge test or a professional problem; handling pedagogical situations.

Candidates for civil service positions in specialized professional titles (not teachers) and specialized job positions shared with schools (equipment, experiments; teaching; library; accounting; clerical) will take a specialized professional exam with the following contents: Professional expertise; application of professional expertise into practice.

The recruitment of teachers and staff of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training aims to supplement officials to do teaching and teaching services at public educational institutions under the Department, ensuring quality, sufficient quantity, correct structure, contributing to building a team of officials in the education sector to meet the requirements and educational training tasks of the City.
