Ho Chi Minh City must be the pride of the whole country.

VTV.vn - This afternoon (October 1), in Tan An Hoi commune, President Luong Cuong and the National Assembly delegation of Ho Chi Minh City met with voters of 11 communes before the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, voters expressed their trust and excitement at the Central Committee's decisions, and at the same time made recommendations on a number of practical issues and shortcomings, such as unresolved planning and land issues, administrative procedures, and policies for grassroots cadres after the merger. President Luong Cuong emphasized that the upcoming session of the National Assembly is of special importance, both summarizing the activities of the entire National Assembly term and orienting the new development stage. The whole country is also facing a historic moment and preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, while Ho Chi Minh City is also preparing for the First Party Congress after expanding its boundaries, with many opportunities, challenges, and great expectations. The President respectfully thanked voters for their contributions, and believed that they will continue to accompany the whole country in implementing strategic plans, programs, and tasks. The President also requested that authorities at all levels promptly and thoroughly resolve pressing, specific issues in daily life, clearly demonstrating the spirit of "taking the people as the root", as well as the mettle, efficiency and prestige of the public apparatus.

President Luong Cuong suggested focusing on training and improving the sense of responsibility and public ethics for cadres and civil servants at the grassroots level. The President also hoped that the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City government would both successfully achieve long-term strategic goals and thoroughly resolve specific, urgent issues in the immediate future, becoming a dynamic, creative, civilized, modern, and humane center; a pioneering locomotive and a source of pride for the whole country.
