Thunderstorms in many places in Ho Chi Minh City, people cannot react in time

According to the meteorological forecasting agency, tonight, June 17, rain will continue to appear in Ho Chi Minh City scattered in many areas.

From 5pm, dark clouds covered many places in Ho Chi Minh City with light winds. Around 6pm, heavy rain appeared in many areas of districts 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, Hoc Mon district... for about 10-15 minutes then gradually stopped.

Hoc Mon district has heavy rain, many places are flooded.

At about 5:50 p.m., it was pouring rain in District 5.

In District 8, the rain appeared from 5:30 p.m., then gradually increased until 6 p.m. when it stopped.

At nearly 6 p.m., the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that thunderstorms were developing and causing rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in the districts of Can Gio, Nha Be, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, and districts 12, 8, 6, Tan Phu, and Tan Binh.

In the next few hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop, causing showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the above districts, then expanding to other neighboring areas including: Go Vap district, district 12, Thu Duc city and the city center.

Rainfall is generally 10-20 mm, in some places over 30 mm. During thunderstorms, watch out for tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind of about level 5-7 (8-17 m/s).
