Prepare well to operate the new government model

On the afternoon of June 26, Hoc Mon district (HCMC) held a conference to evaluate the district-level operating model, develop directions for implementing the two-level local government organization model, and honor and reward cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, attended.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le handed over the decision to resign from work to the officials in the transition to the 2-level local government model.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Le acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions of the leadership, cadres, party members and people of Hoc Mon district throughout the development journey, especially in the context of preparing to switch to a new organizational model.

50 years of construction and development of Hoc Mon have written glorious pages of history with great achievements, of profound historical significance. Many key projects on economic - social infrastructure, schools, hospitals, cultural and sports institutions have been invested in the right direction, creating a new face for the heroic land. The cultural and revolutionary traditions of Hoc Mon homeland will last forever.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le shared that the rearrangement of administrative units is a revolution in organizing the political apparatus, helping to exploit local potential and advantages more effectively, opening up new development space with a wider management scale and more professional requirements.

Therefore, he hopes that the team of civil servants and party members of the district will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, maintain discipline, and prepare well to operate the new government model from July 1.

On behalf of the city's leaders, comrade Nguyen Thi Le expressed deep gratitude to the contributions of cadres of all periods and the people of Hoc Mon, whose children, although working all over the country, always have their hearts turned towards their homeland, contributing to the development of Hoc Mon.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le presented the Prime Minister 's decision recognizing Hoc Mon district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of Hoc Mon District Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed that the district-level administrative apparatus will no longer exist, but the name “Hoc Mon”, the land, people and heritage here will still have its original value. This is a source of pride and a foundation for continued preservation and development in the new model.

He also acknowledged and appreciated the contributions and dedication of the cadres who were dismissed during this period. However, this is not a farewell, but a transfer of roles, from the current employee to the one who continues to contribute in another position, still maintaining love, responsibility and attachment to the homeland.

City leaders awarded the Government's emulation flag to the people and officials of Xuan Thoi Thuong commune, Hoc Mon district.

He also called on the entire political system, cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the district to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, solidarity spirit, aspiration to rise up, accelerate digital transformation, streamline the apparatus, prepare well for the upcoming Party Congresses at all levels, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into an increasingly civilized, modern and humane city.
