Tran Thi Thanh Thuy waiting to shine at the Japanese tournament

After more than 1 month of training, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is likely to have her official debut match for Gunma Green Wings on the opening day of the 2025/26 Japan Volleyball National Championship. This is the match that Thanh Thuy's team will play at home, welcoming Queenseis Kariya, at 11:05 on October 12.

Thanh Thuy is one of the three foreign players of Gunma Green Wings , along with Nasya Dimitrova (Bulgaria) and Olivia Rozanski (Poland). With a height of 1m90, she is the tallest main attacker of Gunma Green Wings at the moment.

Before competing in the National Championship, Thanh Thuy's team had a few friendly matches. The Vietnamese volleyball player is highly regarded for her attacking ability, and is also improving step 1.

This is the second time Thanh Thuy has played in Japan. While previously playing for PFU BlueCats, "4T" was assigned to the left wing position, at Gunma Green Wings, she returned to her favorite position. This helped the 1997-born player feel very confident.
