
This is an activity organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Speaking at the final round, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai emphasized that the Capital Children's Contest to promote books; collective dancing and singing and young songs is not only a useful and healthy playground to arouse the passion for reading, practice thinking skills as well as develop physical, intellectual, aesthetic and moral abilities, but also contributes to discovering and nurturing young talents, building a movement of reading, singing and dancing in schools, contributing to shaping the personality and nurturing the soul of the young generation - the future owners of the Capital and the country.


According to comrade Pham Xuan Tai, this year's contest was launched in July, covering 126 communes and wards of Hanoi city with 2 preliminary and final rounds, for teenagers and children of primary and secondary school levels. Unlike previous years, this year's contest was organized in combination with book promotion and group dance and singing, and young children's songs.


Although the contest was held in the early stages of implementing the two-level government apparatus arrangement, units and schools enthusiastically participated in the preliminary round with 97/126 communes and wards registering (78%), with more than 10,000 students from primary and secondary schools in the city participating.

The final round of the contest had 28 excellent teams, selected from many competitions of primary and secondary schools across the city. Among them, there were 14 teams competing in book promotion and 14 teams competing in group dance and singing and young children's songs.
In the book promotion competition, the teams brought many good and interesting books with many different topics, creating colorful and attractive competitions. The propagandists showed confidence, emotional and attractive reading voices, thereby conveying briefly but fully, condensing the content of the contest works, thereby helping students understand more about the history of the national revolution, the cultural and artistic traditions, the country and people of Vietnam, arousing love for the homeland, the country, the will to excel in studying and the aspiration to build the country increasingly rich and strong.

In the group dance and singing competition and the young children's songs, the teams brought to the contest vibrant and joyful performances with themes of children in the capital singing about the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho; praising Vietnam - Country - People; praising the capital Hanoi - City for Peace - Creative City "Cultured - Civilized - Modern"; praising family affection, teacher-student and friend affection, love of school and youthful dreams reaching for the future..., thereby helping to build and maintain the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level, creating a source of positive energy, promoting solidarity, enriching spiritual life and contributing to moral and aesthetic education for children.

After a day of exciting and intense competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 16 third prizes and 8 special prizes to the outstanding teams.
In which, Ngoc Hoi commune team won first prize in book promotion and introduction; Dai Thanh commune team won first prize in group dance and singing and young bamboo song.
