This morning, July 4, the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Technical Innovation Contest held a conference to deploy the 11th contest, 2024 - 2025.

Accordingly, the contest aims to promote the movement of creative labor for all people in the fields of science - technology, health, education ; promote the effective application of advanced technical solutions in production and life, contributing to socio-economic development, industrialization and modernization of the country. Thereby, it aims to select high-winning solutions to participate in the 18th National Technical Innovation Contest (2024-2025).
There are 6 fields of competition including: Information technology, electronics, telecommunications; Mechanical automation, construction, transportation; Materials, chemicals, energy; Agriculture, forestry, fisheries, resources and environment; Medicine; Education and training. Competition solutions must be new and creative compared to existing solutions in Vietnam; applicable in Vietnam's conditions; and effective economically , technically and socially.
Contestants include 3 groups: Collectives and individuals who are Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over, regardless of class, ethnicity, or profession, with works, topics, and scientific and technical solutions that are the result of creative activities, initiatives, improvements, and applications of science and technology in socio-economic activities created and applied in Quang Tri province from 2019 to present.
Any Vietnamese organization that has invested in Quang Tri province to create a technical solution has the right to participate in the competition. In this case, the people who directly participated in creating the technical solution registered by the organization are the authors or group of authors of that technical solution.
When the solution created by the author group is registered by an organization, the author group must authorize a representative author to prepare the registration file. Projects, topics, and solutions that have won the Science and Technology Innovation Award are not allowed to participate in this competition.
The award structure includes 1 First Prize (18 million VND in prize money); 3 Second Prizes (12 million VND in prize money each); 6 Third Prizes (8 million VND in prize money each) and 12 Encouragement Prizes (3 million VND each). Authors and co-authors whose works win First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The deadline for receiving applications is May 15, 2025. The summary and award ceremony is expected to take place in June-July 2025.
