Authorized by the President , Major General Le Xuan Thuan pinned the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal on the Quyet Thang Military Flag.

During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, officers and soldiers of Regiment 101 fought bravely on many fierce battlefields such as the Southeast, Central Highlands, Route 9 - Khe Sanh, Quang Tri, Quang Binh ... The Regiment participated in the General Offensive and Uprising of Tet Mau Than 1968, fought steadfastly to protect Quang Tri Citadel in 1972, achieved many feats on the Central Highlands front, and contributed significantly to the campaign to liberate Hue - Da Nang.

Throughout 80 years of building, fighting and growing, generations of officers and soldiers of Regiment 101 have overcome difficulties and hardships, constantly trained, strived to complete well and excellently all assigned tasks. With the achievements in fighting and building, the Regiment has been awarded many Military Exploit Medals, Exploit Medals of various types, and 3 comrades of the Regiment have been honored by the Party and State with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Le Xuan Thuan stated: In the coming time, officers and soldiers of the Regiment must constantly promote the tradition of a heroic unit, unite, overcome difficulties, be proactive, creative, self-reliant, have a strong political stance, and be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people. Always strictly maintain combat readiness, actively innovate and improve the quality of comprehensive training; participate in and successfully complete joint military exercises. Training goes hand in hand with discipline training, building a regular lifestyle, strictly complying with State laws and Army discipline. Building a "green - clean - beautiful" regular barracks with a good and healthy cultural environment; effectively implementing the movement "The Army logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" and the Campaign "Managing and exploiting weapons and technical equipment well, durable, safe, economical and traffic safe", the unit ensures absolute safety.
