China has just started filling water for the Dashixia hydroelectric dam in Xinjiang. This is the world's tallest concrete rockfill dam with a height of 247 meters.
The project is built using AI technology, digital twins and drones. The reservoir has a capacity of 1.17 billion m³, serving irrigation for more than 533,000 hectares of agricultural land.
With a capacity of 750,000 kW, the dam produces about 1.9 billion kWh of electricity per year. This amount of electricity helps save 600,000 tons of coal and reduce 2.4 million tons of CO2. The project also released more than 140,000 fish to preserve the Tarim Basin ecosystem.
When completed, Dashixia will become the “voltage stabilizer” of the southern Xinjiang power grid. Dear readers, please watch more videos : AI Trash Cleaning | Hanoi 18:00
