On the afternoon of November 19, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and congratulated VinUni University, on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Expressing his joy at visiting the school, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia wished the professors, scientists , officers and staff of the school much creativity and enthusiasm to continue contributing to the noble cause of educating people.
Praising the achievements in training and scientific research of VinUni University in recent times, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that in the coming time, the school pay attention to implementing well the policies of the Party and State on education and training development, especially higher education.
At the same time, pay attention to building a team of intellectuals, experts, and scientists, in the spirit of Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW of the 8th Central Conference, 13th term on continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period.
Besides the international integration orientation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia noted that VinUni University needs to be a place to preserve, promote and spread advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity.
VinUni needs to focus strongly on research and training of highly qualified and high-quality human resources in the fields of engineering and technology. The school needs to research and open more training majors in engineering and technology, especially emerging fields associated with the fourth industrial revolution such as big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, etc. Strongly promote scientific research and technology development, focusing on research and development of products with Vietnamese brands, VinUni brand.
On the journey to become an excellent university, VinUni needs to cooperate, share values, resources, and social responsibilities in promoting the development of Vietnam's higher education system; focus on scholarship policies and tuition exemptions for talented students but in difficult circumstances, with few opportunities to access university study.
In particular, the head of the Central Propaganda Department requested the school to continue to focus on building a team of lecturers, experts and scientists at international level. Forming a team of prestigious lecturers, scientists and leading experts in key areas of the school is considered the most important factor to achieve the goal of VinUni becoming an excellent university in the region and the world. Each lecturer and scientist of VinUni must truly be a shining example of love for the profession, the spirit of innovation and creativity, and the desire to contribute.
Introducing the school to Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, Dr. Le Mai Lan - Vice President of Vingroup Corporation, Chairman of the Board of VinUni University - said that VinUni is a private, non-profit university established by Vingroup Corporation in 2019, with the aspiration to build an excellent, international-class university in Vietnam.
Currently, VinUni has established professional cooperation relationships with more than 50 leading universities from countries with developed education systems such as the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Korea.
On September 23, 2024, VinUni was honored to be recognized with a comprehensive QS 5-Star rating by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rating organization, becoming the youngest and fastest university in the world to achieve this achievement.
In October 2024, VinUni was appointed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a UNESCO Chair - a model center for research and training, and sponsorship of environmental leadership, cultural heritage and biodiversity.
As of October 2024, VinUni has 1,358 students - including 1,260 undergraduates, 98 residents, and doctoral students, with 5% being international students from 26 countries. The school also has a team of 218 lecturers and staff, of which 77% have doctoral degrees, 29% come from Top 100 universities (according to THE and QS rankings).
