Information from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City has just announced that the Vietnamese-German Medical Program, a collaboration between the school and Johannet Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany), will end after 12 years of cooperation.

The information clearly states: In recent times, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) have coordinated to implement the Vietnamese - German Medical training program with the goal of providing students with an integrated, modern and internationally standard learning model.
After the review and official exchange process between the two schools, the partner Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz announced the termination of the cooperation in implementing the Vietnamese-German medical training program. This decision was made by the German partner due to changes in the regulations for organizing the national medical examination (IMPP) and adjusting the policy on international cooperation programs of public universities in the Federal Republic of Germany.
In the near future, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will organize a dialogue with parents and students of the Vietnam-Germany Medical Program, classes 2023 and 2024, to provide more information about the situation and reasons for ending the training cooperation.
At the same time, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine exchanged, discussed and answered questions about study plans for students of the courses they are studying; financial plans and handling of paid tuition fees; training plans, recognition of study results and support for students during the transition period.
