Mobile media response to World No Tobacco Day 31 May and National No Tobacco Week

From May 28-31, the Provincial Center for Disease Control organized a mobile communication campaign in 8 districts and cities in the province in response to World No Tobacco Day May 31 and National No Tobacco Week (May 25-31).

Implementing Plan No. 36/KH-UBND dated February 29, 2024 of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to implement the National Strategy on prevention and control of tobacco harms by 2030 in Ninh Binh province, the Provincial Center for Disease Control has coordinated with the Medical Centers of districts and cities to strengthen communication about the harmful effects of tobacco on electronic information pages, loudspeaker systems and mobile communication.

The propaganda content focuses on the following contents: Law and regulations on strengthening the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms; benefits and building a smoke-free environment; harms of traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes and emerging cigarettes.

Through promoting communication work to prevent and combat the harmful effects of tobacco, we aim to contribute to protecting public health, limiting and gradually reducing the rate of tobacco users, and reducing the rate of morbidity and mortality due to diseases caused by tobacco.
