"Air Deathmatch" leads the box office, "Red Rain" is about to reach 700 billion VND

According to the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam (with a certain margin of error), in the last 3 days of the weekend (from September 19 to 21), Sky Deathmatch earned more than 57 billion VND in revenue. The film ranked highest in the number of screenings with 10,590 screenings and 586,918 tickets sold.

Combined with revenue from early screenings from 7 p.m. on August 18 and pre-booked tickets, the film earned a total revenue of nearly 67 billion VND.

The fact that Sky Deathmatch has taken over the number 1 spot at the box office has also pushed Red Rain down to number 2, after nearly a month at the top. Last week, despite a significant drop in the number of screenings, with only 5,103 screenings left, the film still sold 230,000 tickets and earned more than 22 billion VND.

Red Rain currently has a total revenue of more than 692 billion VND and is very close to the 700 billion VND milestone, expected to be achieved this week.

Last week, apart from the top two positions on the box office chart, there were not many changes. The Conjuring: The Last Rites still maintained its third position in box office revenue with over 4.6 billion VND. The film currently has a total revenue of over 36 billion VND, making it the most successful film in the series when shown in Vietnam. The previous films had quite modest revenue, all with revenue under 3 billion VND.

Getting Rich with Ghosts: Diamond War still maintains its appeal as it earned more than VND2.2 billion. The film currently has a total revenue of more than VND99 billion and will be the 11th Vietnamese film to surpass the VND100 billion mark in 2025.

The No. 5 spot on the box office chart belongs to The Strawberry Contract with a revenue of over 1.5 billion VND. The film currently has a total revenue of nearly 16 billion VND.

This week, it is likely that Sky Deathmatch will maintain its leading position at the box office and soon reach the 100 billion VND mark. The reason is because the films that will be released this time are not strong competitors.
