On the morning of August 3, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city announced that its inspectors had fined a coastal hotel in Da Nang after tourists complained about its hygiene and service attitude.

Previously, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city received feedback from guests about the issue of poor hygiene and service attitude of the staff of AL hotel (on Ho Nghinh street, Son Tra district).

On July 25, the Department of Tourism Inspectorate coordinated with the Department of Culture and Information of Son Tra district to conduct a surprise inspection at the hotel.

Through that, violations were discovered such as not publicly posting prices of goods and services and not properly implementing the reporting regime to competent state agencies as prescribed.

The Department of Tourism Inspectorate has issued a decision to fine 5.5 million VND for the above violations.

Previously, the Inspectorate of the Da Nang Department of Tourism directly inspected 8 domestic and international travel service businesses in the area. As a result, 6 companies violated the law and were administratively punished.

Recently, Da Nang has stepped up tourism promotion activities and continuously organized festivals during the summer to attract tourists.

Thereby, impressive growth in the tourism and service sector will contribute to helping Da Nang's economy grow by more than 8.3% in the second quarter of 2024.

At the same time, to control service quality, Da Nang also announced hotlines and information pages to receive visitors' feedback on service quality.

Correcting the use of celebrity images for advertising

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city, in order to improve service quality, civilized behavior towards tourists, and build the image of Da Nang city tourism, in the coming time, this unit will continue to strengthen inspection and surprise checks of tourist accommodation business activities in the area.

In particular, violators will be severely punished, especially tourist accommodation establishments that use star images for advertising when they have not been recognized by a competent state agency as a tourist accommodation establishment or have received feedback or recommendations from guests.
