(Dan Tri) - In the friendly match on the evening of September 5, the Indonesian team won 6-0 against Chinese Taipei. This was a match in which coach Kluivert created conditions for many local players to play.

According to the original plan, Indonesia will play a friendly match with Kuwait on the evening of September 5 at home at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium. However, Kuwait withdrew and forced them to invite Chinese Taipei at the last minute. This is part of Garuda's (the nickname of the Indonesian team) preparation plan for the 4th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers taking place next month.

Against a not-so-strong opponent, Coach Kluivert gave five local players, Beckham Putra, Ramadhan Sananta, Egy Maulana, Yakob Sayuri and Rizky Ridho, the chance to start. However, Indonesia still showed superiority over their opponents.

In the 3rd minute, center back Jordi Amat opened the scoring for the home team Indonesia with a precise header. Indonesia created tremendous pressure in the following time. As a result, in the 24th minute, player Chao Ming Hsiu clumsily kicked the ball into his own net in a chaotic situation in the penalty area, helping Indonesia lead 2-0.

In the last 30 minutes of the match, coach Kluivert sent many substitutes onto the field. Indonesia could have won by more when they were denied by the goalpost twice. However, the 6-0 victory satisfied Indonesian fans. On September 8, they will enter a friendly match with Lebanon.
