Meaningful scholarships with the spirit of "Returning with gratitude"
Dr. Nguyen Quang Nam, Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated these programs.
"The activities of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Alumni Community to raise scholarship funds to support students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics are very meaningful activities. First of all, it demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and mutual support of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics alumni community. Moreover, many scholarships are aimed at students in difficult circumstances, who are in real need of help. This has certainly motivated many students to strive to realize their dreams. The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Alumni Community has chosen the spirit of "Pay It Forward" - Pay it forward - to express their gratitude, a truly beautiful way", shared Dr. Nguyen Quang Nam.
Normally, on the traditional annual meeting day of November 20 of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, the Faculty Board and alumni coordinate to organize and award scholarships to students. Students receiving scholarships are selected by a selection committee from a preliminary list according to the set criteria.
Interestingly, the list of scholarship recipients is rarely repeated each year, showing that students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics have secretly competed to study to be honored to be on the final list. This year, the council has begun the selection phase from the list of candidates, in time for November 20, 2025.
