Awarding scholarships to orphaned female students who strive to pass university entrance exams

DNO - On September 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu Ward coordinated with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) - Hai Van Branch to present a scholarship to Ha Bao Chau (18 years old, resident of Trung Son residential group).

Ha Bao Chau lost her mother in 8th grade. Less than 4 years later, she lost her father. Currently, Bao Chau lives alone in the house her parents left behind.

Overcoming her circumstances, Bao Chau strives to study, maintains excellent academic performance and has just been admitted to the Tourism and Travel Management program at Duy Tan University. In addition to studying, she works part-time to cover living expenses and save money for tuition.

To encourage Bao Chau's determination and will, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu Ward awarded a scholarship of 5 million VND and mobilized BIDV Hai Van Branch to support 24 million VND, helping her confidently enter university.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu Ward Nguyen Thi Thanh said that in the coming time, the Ward Front will continue to call on philanthropists to accompany and support Chau. In particular, if during her university studies, Bao Chau maintains good and excellent student achievements, the Ward Front will award an additional scholarship of 5 million VND/year.
