Tyson Fury lost a huge amount of money in the rematch with Usyk

(Dan Tri) - Tyson Fury could lose nearly half of his £60 million bonus when he rematches Oleksandr Usyk in a three-way heavyweight title fight due to tax and National Insurance deductions.

Tyson Fury is trying to regain his glory after losing his heavyweight title fight against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in May.

Oleksandr Usyk became the absolute heavyweight champion (holding 4 IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO titles) in the match in Riyadh when he defeated Tyson Fury after 12 rounds thanks to the judges' split decisions (only 2/3 of the judges gave Usyk the victory).

However, Usyk was later stripped of the IBF title because he was unable to fight in the match scheduled by the organization on June 1 to defend the title.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has shown great determination to take revenge on Usyk by confining himself to training and cutting off contact with his wife for the past 3 months. The 36-year-old boxer has also changed his appearance, growing a beard to "get rid of bad luck".

According to British media, Tyson Fury accepted to lose half of the prize money in the fight with Usyk due to tax deductions and National Insurance. According to estimates, the total prize money in this big fight (taking place on December 21) is up to 150 million pounds. Of which, Usyk received 60% of the prize money thanks to the three WBA, WBC, WBO belts, and Tyson Fury received 40% (about 60 million pounds).

The British boxer must pay almost £27m in tax and £1.2m in National Insurance contributions. A spokesman for Jeff Bet said of the amount Tyson Fury must pay: "If you are a UK citizen you pay tax on your overseas income in the same way. That applies to everyone.

According to the schedule, the match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will take place at 11pm on December 21 in Saudi Arabia at Kingdom Arena (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), which is around 5am on December 22 Vietnam time. Notably, in this match, the Organizing Committee will arrange for an AI (artificial intelligence) referee to independently score along with 3 referees as usual.
