Referring to the enrollment of grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, in the document of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, it is stated that Tran Dai Nghia High School was established under Decision No. 2020/QD-UB-VX dated March 31, 2020 of the City People's Committee, the school conducted enrollment at junior high and high school levels from the 2000-2001 school year; in 2002, the school was converted into Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. In recent years, in addition to the achievements of the high school level, the school has well organized educational activities at the junior high school level, being a resource in training and developing the quality of education in the city.

The City's education sector orients the development of Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School as a modern, advanced secondary school, approaching international education, continuing to maintain and promote the achievements that Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School has achieved. The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to develop a project to change the model of Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School in accordance with the Education Law and the regulations of the Ministry. The development of the project must be carried out in accordance with the process, legal regulations and in accordance with the actual situation of the city's education. Therefore, the City needs more time to study the bases and regulations, and at the same time carry out the process of collecting opinions from relevant departments, branches, sectors and units and cannot be completed before the 2024-2025 school year enrollment period.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will continue to urge the Department of Education and Training, relevant departments, agencies, units and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted to promptly complete and change the model of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted in accordance with the Law on Education, regulations of the Ministry and in accordance with the actual situation of the city's education sector.
