Candidates proposed for recognition as professors and associate professors in 2025 increased by 38%.

The State Council of Professors has just announced a list of 933 candidates recommended by the basic professor council to be considered for recognition as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025, an increase of more than 38% compared to last year.

According to the list of candidates for associate professor and professor positions in 2025 that has just been announced, there are a total of 933 candidates (an increase of more than 38% compared to last year), including 89 professor candidates and 844 associate professor candidates.

Among the industry and interdisciplinary professor councils, the Economics Professor Council continues to lead in the number of candidates with 153 people (11 professor candidates and 142 associate professor candidates).

Next is the Medical Professor Council with 124 people (15 professor candidates, 109 associate professor candidates). The Literature Professor Council has only 1 associate professor candidate.

There is a faculty council of majors/interdisciplinary departments without professor candidates, including: agriculture - forestry, law, culture - arts - physical education and sports, linguistics, mechanics, irrigation, history - archaeology - ethnology/anthropology, literature.

According to plan, from August 29 to September 26, the industry and interdisciplinary professor council will continue to review the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor.

From October 20 to 31, the State Council of Professors met to review and recognize the qualifications for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025.

Last year, the total number of candidates for associate professor and professor was 673 (62 professor candidates and 611 associate professor candidates). Subsequently, 615 candidates were recognized as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 (45 professor candidates, 570 associate professor candidates).
