One unit of alcohol is equivalent to 10g of pure ethanol, equal to 200ml of beer; 75ml of wine (1 glass); 25ml of spirits (1 cup). Depending on the amount of alcohol consumed, it will be converted to approximately how many units of alcohol.

Drinking 1 glass of strong alcohol (about 40 degrees) is equivalent to 1 unit of alcohol, the liver will take about 1 hour to eliminate. However, after elimination, the body needs 2-3 hours for the alcohol in the blood to return to 0. Therefore, if you drink 1 glass of strong alcohol, it will take you about 3 hours after drinking for the alcohol concentration to not increase.
“There is no exact answer to the question, ‘If I drink a certain amount of alcohol, how long will it take for my alcohol concentration to reach 0?’” said Dr. Hoang.
Depending on each person's body, the exact time it takes to completely eliminate alcohol from the body will be different. We can estimate the time, but this is an average, estimated number. Each individual will have a different time and many factors affect the speed of alcohol elimination from the body.
