Young people prefer to work in cafes because of the space and comfort.

Walking around the wards in the province, inside many cafes, it is not difficult to see the image of young people carrying laptops, papers, books sitting to study and work for many hours. They can be students, university students, people working in the field of communication, design... One of the main reasons why young people like to work at cafes is the comfort and working space.

In a corner of Bong Bang cafe in Hac Thanh ward, Ms. Minh Anh, a communications staff member and regular customer of the shop, is checking the products before handing them over to the leader. Due to the nature of her job, the leader only needs the products and does not require the staff to be present at the office regularly, so she can work anywhere. She chose Bong Bang cafe because of its comfortable and airy space. "The space filled with melodious music and the aroma of coffee makes my spirit relaxed and stimulates my creativity" - Ms. Minh Anh excitedly shared.

A cup of coffee costs only 25 - 30 thousand VND, Ms. Minh Anh can sit from morning to night and wifi, air conditioning, iced tea, electricity... are all free. Moreover, the shop's regulations of no smoking in air-conditioned rooms, no laughing and making noise, affecting people around are plus points of Bong Bang cafe in the eyes of freelancers like Ms. Minh Anh. With a frequency of going to cafes from 3 - 5 times/week, Ms. Minh Anh has to spend about 1 - 1.5 million VND per month to "buy" the working space as desired. Instead, the quality of her work is improved and she is more productive. In addition, she also connects with many people working in different fields to exchange, learn and share experiences.

Dynamic in a short outfit, Mr. Hoang Cuong, 37 years old, works in the field of construction design consulting, focusing on designs for customers. When stressed, he sips coffee, letting his soul follow the gentle music in the shop. After balancing his emotions, he continues his work. The habit of choosing a cafe to work has been maintained by Mr. Cuong for nearly a year now, because of its flexibility and comfort. "I often have the habit of being at a cafe every morning, at least 1 hour, sometimes half a day. Here, I can wear whatever I like without being scrutinized, nor fear of breaking agency regulations," Mr. Cuong explained.

Mr. Cuong also often meets friends in the construction and design fields at cafes to exchange ideas and make business plans. “Design work requires innovation and inspiration every day. However, repeating the office environment can make people feel suffocated and exhausted of ideas. Therefore, I often choose cafes as a common working place for everyone. Instead of going to a cafe alone, going together as a group is much more fun, and problems are also solved directly without having to wait for messages,” said Mr. Cuong.

As one of the most popular cafes, Boong coffee is located on Nguyen Duy Hieu street, Hac Thanh ward, quite crowded during office hours on weekdays because of the airy space, with a separate area on the 2nd floor suitable for working. Mr. Le Van Truong, owner of Boong coffee, admitted that the trend of going to cafes to work is becoming more and more popular. Therefore, the shop has arranged a separate area on the 2nd floor, with long, round desks to meet the needs of teamwork, with power outlets to help customers easily charge their phones and computers, without interrupting their work.

On average, Boong Coffee receives about 100 customers every day to enjoy coffee, of which, a few dozen customers choose this place to work or study for 3 to 4 hours or more. However, according to Mr. Truong, this does not affect the shop's revenue much. For customers who stay for a long time, they all order more cakes, sunflower seeds, drinks... Importantly, the shop has a long-term customer base, is highly rated on social platforms, and has become an ideal meeting place for office workers.

Young people want a more comfortable and energetic workplace, where new ideas are stimulated and developed. Going to a cafe to work has really become a trend when young people have a new space to welcome new things, and a place to open up creative emotions and ideas. Besides the positive things, working in a cafe also has limitations. A cafe is a shared space after all, the surrounding noises can reduce work efficiency. The security of personal information and work here is also not guaranteed. Therefore, if we work with sensitive information, we should consider carefully before deciding to work in a cafe. Meanwhile, spending a few hundred thousand to a million each month to go to a cafe to work is also a problem. Therefore, you should make sure that the expense does not affect too much the cost of living and choose a suitable place to study and work, not follow the trend, to avoid wasting time and money.
