With the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era," the 6th Cham Cultural Festival in Khanh Hoa province, 2025 will take place from October 17-19, at the April 16 Square area, Phan Rang ward and Dong Hai ward, Khanh Hoa province.
According to the plan just officially issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Festival will have the participation of 6 provinces and cities including Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Within the framework of the festival, there will be many cultural, sports and tourism activities such as: Mass art festival; performance of Cham ethnic costumes; performance and introduction of festival excerpts, traditional cultural rituals of Cham ethnic group; exhibition, introduction and promotion of local Cham ethnic traditional culture; performance and introduction of traditional crafts (brocade weaving or pottery) of Cham ethnic group;
Sports activities and folk games of the Cham ethnic group; community tourism skills demonstration; photo exhibition "Cham ethnic people accompany the country's development;" thematic exhibition "Cultural characteristics of the Cham ethnic group in the cultural community of Vietnamese ethnic groups;" workshop "Promoting the value of Cham cultural heritage in tourism development"...

The organization of the Festival aims to honor and introduce the traditional cultural values of the Cham people to domestic and international friends. Thereby, promoting the image of a Vietnam rich in cultural identity, with unity and harmony among ethnic groups; at the same time, raising awareness and sense of responsibility in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.
Besides, the Festival is also an opportunity to strengthen and promote the strength of solidarity among ethnic minorities in general and Cham ethnic people in particular in the provinces of the Southern and South Central regions after the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units.
Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism require that the activities within the framework of the Festival must clearly demonstrate the cultural identity of the Cham people, ensuring mass character, richness in types, creativity, diversity, and uniqueness in content...
The programs and activities of the Festival are community-oriented, highlighting the role of cultural subjects, promoting traditional cultural values associated with the progressive elements of the times; at the same time, they have practical significance in orienting the work of preserving Cham ethnic culture associated with tourism development, thereby improving the material and spiritual life of the Cham ethnic community in the current context./.
