This move, if realized, will be a turning point, combined with a series of significant upgrades in design, camera and performance of the iPhone 17, promising to create one of the most exciting Apple phone launch seasons ever in Vietnam.

Vietnam on Apple's priority map

For many years, Vietnamese users have been accustomed to waiting or looking for the hand-carried market to be able to own the new iPhone as soon as possible. However, the position of the domestic market has changed significantly over the years. From waiting until November to open for sale in the iPhone 11, 12 period, to the iPhone 15 and 16, Apple has shortened the waiting time to just one week compared to markets such as the US, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong... This change has brought positive effects, promoting genuine sales and gradually narrowing the hand-carried market.

This year, an even bigger step could take place. According to some sources, Vietnam will be upgraded, included in the list of markets that will launch the iPhone 17 in the first batch on September 19. The expected schedule for the new product line will be a launch event on September 9 and pre-orders will be available from September 12.

If this information is correct, this will be the clearest recognition from Apple for the strong growth of the Vietnamese market, where the revenue on the opening day of recent iPhone generations has easily exceeded the 1,000 billion VND mark. Having access to the product at the same time as global markets will be great news for "bitten apple" fans in Vietnam. At the same time, the hand-carried market will be significantly narrowed, reducing the situation of Vietnamese people traveling to neighboring countries such as Thailand, Singapore... to hunt for iPhone 17 Series on the first day of sale.

Remarkable changes revealed in iPhone 17 Series

Along with information about the launch date, a series of rumors and leaks about changes on the iPhone 17 Series are also appearing with increasing frequency, outlining a generation of Apple smartphones with many improvements.

One of the most interesting changes is the design of the two high-end versions, iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Many sources believe that Apple may abandon the titanium frame to return to using an aluminum shell with a new finishing process to optimize costs or bring a different grip feeling.

The biggest design change is the rear camera cluster. Instead of the familiar square design, Apple will likely switch to a horizontal rectangular camera strip that takes up the entire width of the device - a design reminiscent of the Google Pixel 9 Pro line. On this camera strip, the three lenses still maintain the triangular arrangement on the left, while the LED flash, microphone and Lidar sensor are moved to the right side and arranged vertically.

In terms of configuration, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are expected to be equipped with the A19 Pro chip, along with an upgrade of RAM capacity to 12 GB, a "jump" compared to previous generations, promising the ability to multitask and handle complex AI tasks. The camera system can also receive improvements, with the telephoto lens upgraded to 48 MP and the front camera doubling the resolution to 24 MP.

Not only the Pro version, the two standard versions, iPhone 17 and 17 Plus, also received upgrades with ProMotion screen technology (120 Hz refresh rate) and Always-On Display feature, a move that eliminates one of the biggest differences between the regular and Pro lines, bringing a premium display experience to all versions.
