On September 28, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son received Mr. Nong Dung, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Secretary General of the China-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee.

At the reception, Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his joy and appreciation for the positive developments in the Vietnam-China relationship since the official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (October 30 - November 1, 2022). The Minister affirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the development of friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China as a top priority in Vietnam's independent, self-reliant, multilateral and diversified foreign policy.

Expecting that the bilateral relationship will enter a new stage of development after 15 years with many achievements of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, Minister Bui Thanh Son hopes that the two sides will continue to concretize high-level common perceptions, enhance strategic exchanges between the two countries' leaders, strongly promote and strive to achieve many specific progresses in each field of cooperation.

Accordingly, Minister Bui Thanh Son hopes that the two sides will actively promote and coordinate to prepare well for high-level contacts in the coming time; achieve specific progress in cooperation areas including trade, investment, transport connection, railway construction cooperation, projects using Chinese aid capital as well as coordinate to handle difficulties in a number of cooperation projects.

Agreeing with Minister Bui Thanh Son, Assistant Minister Nong Dung affirmed that the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries is developing very well. In particular, after General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China, high-level exchanges and contacts between the two countries have taken place regularly; exchanges and cooperation between the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the National People's Congress, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and all levels, sectors and localities of the two sides have achieved many positive results. China is willing to work with Vietnam to increase high-level and all-level contacts, promote the signing of many cooperation documents in various fields, creating rich results for bilateral relations.
