Vietnam - China close cooperation to build a community of shared future has strategic significance

On the eve of the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, many Chinese experts expressed their confidence and expectation that the meeting between the two leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam and China will achieve new important results and take new, solid steps, further deepening the building of a Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.

Speaking to VNA reporters, Mr. Lang Duc Quyen, a researcher at the China Center for International Studies, said that the visit of General Secretary and President To Lam reflects the commitment to continue promoting the revolutionary friendship of "both comrades and brothers" between the two countries. Mr. Lang said that the traditional solidarity and friendly cooperation between the two countries will be further consolidated and have more solid steps in the coming time.

According to Mr. Lang, General Secretary and President To Lam is an old friend and good comrade of the Chinese people. He believes that through this visit, China and Vietnam will cooperate more closely in the new journey of building a community with a shared future of strategic significance and actively promote the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries to a new height.

The expert said: China and Vietnam are two friendly neighboring countries, mountains connected by mountains and rivers connected by rivers, with ample space and prospects for deep cooperation in many fields. Comprehensive cooperation between China and Vietnam is complementary and mutually beneficial, and will certainly effectively promote the cause of socialist modernization in each country. This is not only in line with the profound aspirations of the people of the two countries but also brings practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

Speaking to VOV reporters, Professor Liu Ying of the People’s University of China also shared a similar view. She said that the leaders of the two countries regularly visit each other, showing the tradition of friendship “both as comrades and brothers”; contributing to maintaining the direction of the relationship between the two countries, leading the bilateral relationship to develop in a closer direction.

She emphasized that Vietnam has always been a priority in China's neighborly diplomacy and the relationship between the two countries has achieved many remarkable economic achievements.

Professor Liu Anh recommended that Vietnam and China should focus on cooperation in infrastructure construction, cross-border economic zones development, and the connection between the "Belt and Road" initiative and the "Two Corridors, One Belt". She also proposed that the two countries strengthen cooperation in the fields of digital economy, green economy, and supply chain to build a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
