VietinBank donates funds to support children with cancer

On the afternoon of May 29, 2024, at the National Children's Hospital, VietinBank donated 2 billion VND to pediatric cancer patients being treated at hospitals through the Hope Fund.

Over the past years, VietinBank has accompanied and devoted huge resources to the National Children's Hospital to share social responsibility. Accordingly, VietinBank has spent more than 50 billion VND to support the Hospital in building houses for patients' families, purchasing modern medical equipment and ambulances... In particular, over the past 13 years, VietinBank has implemented the "Pot of Love Porridge" program at the Hospital, providing free porridge with enough nutrition for children in difficult circumstances every day. On May 29, 2024, through the Hope Fund, VietinBank donated 2 billion VND to further support children with cancer being treated at hospitals. With this support, VietinBank hopes to help children receive treatment sooner and more effectively.

Along with the good performance of business tasks, VietinBank has always been a pioneer bank in social security activities, hunger eradication, poverty reduction; gratitude, and remembering the source of drinking water in all provinces and cities nationwide. With the Health Sector, VietinBank has had many activities to support, accompany, and share difficulties in equipping medical examination and treatment facilities, taking care of patients' health; and supporting patients at medical facilities from central to local levels. As of May 2024, VietinBank has supported more than VND 1,800 billion to build and upgrade hundreds of medical facilities, donated 345 ambulances and specialized medical vehicles, modern medical equipment to support medical examination and treatment, heart surgery for patients and children in difficult circumstances... Especially during the COVID-19 outbreak, VietinBank donated over VND 200 billion to accompany the Government, the Ministry of Health and localities in the work of pandemic prevention and control.
