Dig into the fields

The kids were so excited about the kids that they were jumping around the grass, not stopping. Nearby, there were “houses” divided into plots for buffalo, cows, geese, sheep and rabbits. The kids were delighted to see, touch and feed these animals.

After a while of rolling around with the sheep, our children turned to many folk games such as seesaw, tug of war, bamboo dancing, ox cart pulling and even… fighting with windmills.

Hoes, shovels, shoulder poles, mills, baskets, etc. were displayed everywhere. Wooden stakes were placed around the living quarters of the livestock and poultry, looking no different from the farm seen in the movie Little House on the Prairie directed by Michael Landon. A TV series that made many of us, the 7X and 8X generation, yearn for more.

This is a corner of Bana Rita farm. There are always more experiences with farming, from growing vegetables, raising chickens, fishing to harvesting crops. Guests can get their hands dirty in the fields, smell the straw and smell the sun and wind in each garden. The free spirit in the middle of nature will help guests feel at peace, recharge with positive energy for the long day ahead.

In recent years, the trend of farm tourism has become attractive to visitors by providing tourism services, experiential activities, and practicing life skills with farmers.

Familiar farming suddenly becomes strange and attractive in the frames that tourists send to each other. Checking in with the fields is a way to make peace with nature, and is also the sustainable tourism direction that administrators are aiming for.

On the Da Nang side, going up to Hoa Bac and Hoa Phu, are places like Nam Yen Valley Vineyard, Bana Rita Glamping Farm, and An Phu Farm. On the Quang Nam side, there is Cam Phu - Go Noi Community Tourism Village (Dien Phong Commune, Dien Ban)... Exploiting tourism services combined with developing organic agriculture is also a new way for craft villages, if they know how to combine the production chain.

With clean food from the farm, such as grapefruit, guava, jackfruit, beef, chicken, goat... in addition to tourism, it is completely possible to think beyond the needs of the market. Like the other day, we went to Nam Yen Valley Vineyard, looked at the bunches of grapes laden with fruit by the alluvium of the source, looked vaguely towards the peaceful Cu De River, suddenly craving a sip of wine...
