Navy Region 1 successfully rescued a fishing boat of Nghe An fishermen in distress at sea.

At 1:30 p.m. on December 16, while performing patrol, reconnaissance, and management missions to protect sea and island sovereignty in the Southwest area of ​​Bach Long Vi Island, ship 636 (belonging to Squadron 137, Brigade 169, Naval Region 1) received information that fishing vessel NA98829-TS, captained by Nguyen Van Hoa (Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An), was anchored when its anchor broke.

Realizing that the NA98829-TS ship showed signs of drifting and was at risk of capsizing due to high waves and strong winds, ship 636 promptly approached, transferred mooring ropes, fenders, and provided equipment, supplies, and necessities to the NA98829-TS ship to ensure safety and continue its journey to the sea.
