The campaign aims to implement Decision No. 2220 dated June 27, 2025 of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on approving the adjustment of the Project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 151B through two old communes of Chieng Ken - Nam Tha (old), now Chieng Ken commune.

Accordingly, the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 151B through Chieng Ken commune has been approved for implementation from 2023, with completion date in 2026. The total implementation cost is 189 billion VND, of which the compensation cost for site clearance is 20,533 billion VND.

Up to now, the work of measuring, adjusting, supplementing cadastral maps, and setting up boundary markers for land acquisition and compensation has been completed. The total area acquired is 20.86 hectares.
The entire project has 450 affected households, of which 400 are in Chieng Ken commune. At the same time, 41 households have been approved for funding and land recovery, 20 households have had funding approval decisions but have not yet paid, 107 households have declared and counted, are pricing and completing documents, 103 households have issued land recovery notices but have not yet declared and counted; there are still 125 households that have not issued land recovery notices.

Leaders of Chieng Ken Commune People's Committee inspected the actual construction of the road.

The 45-day GPMB campaign, implemented from July 10, 2025 to August 25, 2025, focuses on counting and counting assets, trees, and crops of affected households, determining compensation prices, and carrying out procedures to prepare for compensation, site clearance, and resettlement to ensure transparency and openness. The campaign's motto is "Going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every household", "each meter of land handed over early is a step forward to speed up the project's progress; each family voluntarily complying is a practical contribution to the common development".
