Hung Thang Commune speeds up socialization to soon have clean water that meets standards.

Hung Thang Commune (Hai Phong) urgently overcomes difficulties, striving for 100% of households to have access to clean water that meets standards by the beginning of next year.

On September 12, the Standing Committee of the Hung Thang Commune Party Committee worked with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to implement a plan to bring clean water to rural areas.

According to the report of Hung Thang Commune People's Committee, in the commune there are 3 mini water plants supplying domestic water to 4,957 households (reaching 71.3%), the water consumption volume is 1,200 m3/day. However, because the 3 water plants were invested and built many years ago, the treatment technology is simple, the quality of raw water exploited from irrigation canals has declined.

Through inspection and external sampling of 3 water plants, 1 unit did not meet the standards. Concerned about the quality of water sources, some households in the commune returned to using water from drilled wells and open wells.

Implementing the policy of providing clean water to people, agencies and units in the area, Hung Thang Commune People's Committee coordinated with specialized agencies to organize the valuation of the remaining assets of water plants and mobilize the conversion of water supply areas. Accordingly, the remaining value of 3 water plants in the commune is 11.3 billion VND. Up to now, the locality has mobilized nearly 1.9 billion VND from social resources.

Hung Thang Commune strives to coordinate with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to bring clean water to households in the first quarter of 2026.

In order to strive for Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to provide clean water to the people by the first quarter of 2026, the Commune People's Committee directed the villages to speed up the progress of mobilizing socialized funds of 9.4 billion VND. At the same time, the Commune People's Committee carried out the steps of the water supply area transfer process and signed an agreement to implement water supply services with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company...

At the meeting, Deputy General Director of Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company Trinh Anh Tuan affirmed that the unit is ready to cooperate with the locality in receiving, managing and investing in upgrading the water supply network to each household, so that people can use water sources that meet standards. However, to speed up the process, the company requested the Hung Thang commune government and people to be determined and highly unanimous in contributing funds to support the conversion of water supply areas.

Comrade Do Manh Hieu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Thang Commune, said that bringing clean water to rural areas is an urgent task, not only contributing to improving people's lives and health but also promoting local socio -economic development. The Party Committee and the commune government coordinate well with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to deploy groups of solutions to quickly remove obstacles and difficulties, striving for 100% of households in the commune to access and use water sources that meet standards.

In December 2024, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company completed the construction of 8.45 km of D400 pipeline, ready to provide water that meets standards to organizations and people in Tien Lang area.

Up to now, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company has installed a pipeline network in some areas in Tan Minh commune and is expected to connect and supply water to Tan Minh commune by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

In the communes of Tien Lang, Tien Minh, Chan Hung, Hung Thang and Quyet Thang, after implementing two-level local rights, the communes focused on promoting the mobilization of socialized funding and carrying out procedures to transfer water supply areas.

In order to implement the policy of bringing clean water to the area of ​​Tien Lang district in the past, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company invested in building the D400 pipeline with a length of 8.45 km. After that, Tien Lang District People's Committee requested Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to continue implementing the project of investing in the above pipeline system running along Highway 212 to supply clean water to the communes in the southern region.
