On the afternoon of September 29, Chairman of Kien Hung Commune People's Committee Pham Van Dinh said that the commune mobilized forces to coordinate in inspecting and handling weak dike points affected by storm No. 10.
Through inspection and review, the high tide rose 3.5-3.7 m, combined with east wind and heavy rain, causing the dike surface to overflow. In particular, the Kim Son embankment, Ky Son dike, and Mom Hau sluice are at risk of landslides, threatening more than 100 hectares of rice in the ear, at risk of salinity.
The Commune People's Committee coordinated with functional forces to proactively regulate water, raise the buffer water level; mobilize vehicles and human resources to raise the dike surface, and reinforce key locations with sandbags. By about 12 o'clock the same day, the locality had basically resolved and stabilized the situation; and deployed permanent forces to monitor developments.

Faced with the complicated developments of the storm, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee requested the entire political system and villages, departments and organizations not to be subjective, continue to review and develop plans to prevent flooding and landslides, proactively evacuate people in dangerous areas and non-solid houses. The police, military and border forces strengthen control of boats and fishery watchtowers, resolutely bring people to safety, maintain communication, and be ready for rescue.
The Chairman of the Commune People's Committee emphasized the spirit of "proactive prevention, timely response, and quick recovery", promoting the "4 on-site" motto, being on duty 24/7, reporting regularly, and determined to minimize damage.
