Ham Thanh Commune is a mountainous commune, with a total natural area of ​​440,064.29 hectares and a total population of 16,306 people/4,140 households. Of which, 4,222 people/1,258 households are ethnic minorities, accounting for 26% of the total population of the commune.

During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people of the commune have made efforts to develop and stabilize the local socio -economy.
