Faced with that situation, the Van Ban commune government and functional forces overcame the danger, urgently transported food and essential necessities to promptly support isolated households.

To reach the point where people were waiting for supplies, the working group had to walk more than 3 km of mountain road, pass dozens of large and small landslides; laboriously carry rice, instant noodles, bottled water and a lot of medicine...




Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ban commune, said: Local authorities and functional forces have tried to cross the mountain, making efforts to access and transport food, medicine and necessary necessities.



According to statistics as of the morning of October 2, the entire It Noc village had more than 30 large landslides lasting for a long time; 7 houses were completely collapsed; 45 houses lost 50-70% of their property; 36 electric poles were broken, the entire electricity, internet and telecommunication systems were paralyzed; crop and aquaculture areas were flooded, causing heavy damage.


The timely approach of the authorities helped 120 households in It Noc village overcome immediate difficulties to overcome the consequences of the storm and soon stabilize their lives.
