Y Ty commune mobilizes people to evacuate to avoid flash floods and landslides.

Faced with complicated weather conditions due to the impact of storm No. 11, from the afternoon of October 6, the Commune People's Committee directed forces to urgently review and evacuate people from 161 tents along streams, hillsides and areas at risk of landslides to ensure safety.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening solutions to respond to storm No. 11, the People's Committee of Y Ty commune has urgently and synchronously deployed prevention and avoidance measures.

Rapid response teams mobilized people to move away from tents, shacks along streams, hillsides, and areas at high risk of landslides.

Accordingly, the commune mobilized forces to each village and hamlet to check landslide areas and areas at high risk of landslides; propagated and encouraged people to proactively take preventive measures and be ready to evacuate from dangerous areas.

In particular, the rapid response teams in the villages were assigned to carefully check the tents and shacks along streams, hillsides, and areas at risk of landslides. Thereby, the authorities mobilized people to move out of 161 tents and shacks to return home or to safe shelters.

Forces continue to review landslide and landslide-prone areas to take timely action.

Currently, in Y Ty commune, there are 13 landslide sites and high risk of landslides. Specifically: Seo Phin Chu village has 2 sites; Khoa San Chai village has 2 sites; Khu Chu Phin village has 1 site; Ta Suoi Cau village has 1 site; Ngai Thau Ha village has 2 sites; Can Cau village has 1 site; Sin Chai village has 1 site; Sim San village has 1 site; Provincial Road 158 has 2 sites.

Authorities stretched out warning lines in areas dangerous for landslides.

Currently, Y Ty commune is experiencing light rain and fog. The Commune People's Committee continues to send forces to villages and hamlets to stretch ropes, put up warning signs, prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through landslide areas when there is heavy rain; at the same time, strengthen the situation monitoring, promptly evacuate people from areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, ensuring people's safety during the rainy season.
