According to initial information, the suspected poisoning cases were concentrated in people who ate bread on September 24. Many patients, including children, were hospitalized in serious condition with symptoms of continuous high fever, severe abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Some cases were diagnosed with severe intestinal infections and had to be treated with high doses of medication.

Some parents said their children had stomach aches after eating bread and sticky rice in the morning. By the afternoon, the condition became more serious and they had to be hospitalized. Initial estimates indicate that dozens of people were affected to varying degrees. Many patients have now stabilized and been discharged, but some cases continue to be monitored and treated at medical facilities.

According to local residents, this bread brand has three points of sale in the area and all three locations have reported people experiencing health problems after eating.

A representative of the People's Committee of Long Binh Ward ( Ho Chi Minh City) confirmed that they had received the information and were coordinating with the police and related units to verify and investigate the cause of the incident.
