With serious investment, the current price of Arabica coffee in many areas in Son La province is fluctuating from 11,000 to 15,000 VND/kg of fresh fruit. From the end of 2023 until now, the world coffee price has tended to be high, causing domestic coffee to increase sharply, stabilizing at around 120,000 VND/kg, 3 times higher than the average level of many years. According to the forecast of the Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association, coffee prices from now until the end of 2024 will be relatively stable.

To improve coffee productivity and quality, adapt to the European Union's regulations on deforestation-free production, in the coming time, the provincial departments, branches, districts and cities will continue to promote propaganda activities, mobilizing people to apply sustainable farming according to international standards. At the same time, promote coffee replanting and improvement and introduce high-yield, high-quality varieties that adapt to climate change into production; promote the application of scientific and technical advances in planting, caring, harvesting, preliminary processing, processing, and preservation according to the sustainable and safe coffee chain, associated with environmental protection, contributing to maintaining the Son La coffee brand and affirming the position of Son La coffee on the world coffee map.

Recognizing the results that Son La coffee industry has achieved in recent times, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee directed that, in order to improve coffee productivity and quality, adapt to the European Union's deforestation-free production regulations, Son La districts and cities continue to promote propaganda activities, mobilizing people to apply sustainable farming according to international standards.
