Two Son La teachers were awarded the title of Excellent Teacher by the President.

Last school year, Son La Education and Training Department achieved many important results: the whole province had 437 schools meeting national standards, exceeding the Resolution target by 3% and increasing by 150 schools compared to the beginning of the term; the rate of solid classrooms reached 73.3%. The province has completed the standards for eliminating illiteracy, universalizing primary education and universalizing secondary education level 2.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, awarded the title of Excellent Teacher to two individuals.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chien - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Son La, up to now, 95% of teachers have proficiently applied information technology in teaching; 100% of educational institutions are connected to the Internet; 100% of student records are assigned a unique identification code, creating a foundation for implementing electronic transcripts.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, the province's passing rate reached 99.59%. The quality of key education has improved with 34 students winning prizes in the national high school excellent student exam, an increase of 14 prizes compared to the previous school year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Son La Province, awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong acknowledged and praised the achievements of the provincial education sector and requested the Department of Education and Training to continue advising the Provincial People's Committee on mechanisms and policies to improve the quality of the teaching staff; at the same time, pay attention to investing in facilities, especially in ethnic minority areas and particularly difficult areas.

Leaders of Son La province presented the Prime Minister 's Certificate of Merit to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, former Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee presented many noble awards: 2 teachers received the title of Excellent Teacher conferred by the President; 14 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 12 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training; 6 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. In addition, the Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit for typical achievements in the period 2020-2025 to 37 individuals and 17 groups.
