(Dan Tri) - While transporting a patient on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, the ambulance suddenly burst into flames.
At 10:30 a.m. on March 9, driver Nguyen Ngoc Rung (48 years old, from Tien Giang ) drove an ambulance with license plate 63B-026.55 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, heading towards Ho Chi Minh City.

Arriving at Thanh Duc commune, Ben Luc district ( Long An ), the driver discovered the car was smoking so he pulled over to the side of the road. Some people in the ambulance also escaped. At this time, the fire broke out and burned fiercely.
Drivers passing through the area and local residents used mini fire extinguishers to help put out the fire, but were unsuccessful.
The Long An Provincial Highway Authority and fire brigade arrived at the scene to put out the fire; however, the vehicle was completely burned. The ambulance fire caused traffic congestion in the area.
