Hai Long scored the opening goal for the Vietnamese team.
The Vietnamese team continuously made passes behind the Lao defense. In the 58th minute, Bui Tien Dung created a pass for Hai Long to run up and shoot into the home team's net. The Vietnamese team opened the score after nearly an hour of hard play.
