Accordingly, in September 2021, the application "iRecorder - Screen Recorder" was added to the CH Play application store. Initially, this software fully complied with Google's regulations and privacy policies.

However, after the first upgrade in August 2022, the developers quietly integrated a malicious code into this application. This code is capable of tracking the device's location, stealing call logs, contacts, sending SMS messages, taking photos and recording background audio.
Furthermore, security experts have discovered that this malicious application can also automatically access the device's microphone to record audio after certain intervals.
Lukas Stefanko - security expert at ESET, said: "The CH Play security team removed this malicious application from the store after receiving the notification. The developer of the iRecorder application also provides a number of other applications on CH Play. Currently, those applications do not contain malicious code, but users must still be very vigilant."
Before being removed from CH Play, the iRecorder application had attracted more than 50,000 downloads. If you have installed this software, users should quickly remove it from their smartphones to avoid being tracked and eavesdropped.
