Clip of female student being beaten by a group of friends on the opening day of school appeared

(Dan Tri) - A clip recording a group of female students attacking a female student in a white shirt in Nghe An on the opening day of school has outraged public opinion.

A clip of more than 2 minutes recording a scene of a female student being beaten by a group of friends on a deserted dirt road has caused a stir in public opinion in recent days. The incident was determined to have occurred in Dong Hieu commune, Nghe An , involving female students of Dong Hieu High School.

According to the clip, a female student wearing a white shirt was surrounded and assaulted by 4-5 other female students. Initially, a female student wearing a black shirt grabbed her hair, ripped off her helmet, and repeatedly hit her on the head and face. When the female student in the white shirt fell down, the whole group continued to attack her.

The victim then collapsed to the ground in a state of panic and pain, while the group of friends continued to insult him and then left. It is worth mentioning that in the clip, there were also a number of other people present but no one intervened.

The incident is believed to have stemmed from a personal conflict, when the students mentioned the previous bad-mouthing incident. The female student who was beaten was identified as a student of Dong Hieu High School.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter on September 9, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Principal of Dong Hieu High School, confirmed that the incident occurred after the opening of the new school year 2025-2026, in Cay Xang hamlet (Dong Hieu commune), outside the school campus.

“After the incident, the family reported it to the police and the students involved were invited to interview. On September 8, the school's Youth Union also invited the students to discuss, they said it was just a small conflict and then let it go. This afternoon, the school continued to invite parents and students to remind them. The school will coordinate with the family to educate and gradually correct them,” Mr. Cuong shared.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hao, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hieu Commune, also said that the local government has received the information and will have a specific report on the incident.

The clip has raised many concerns in public opinion about school violence, and called on authorities and schools to take timely measures to handle, deter and educate to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
