According to a report from the Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea, ICT product exports reached 16.71 billion USD in February, up 1.2 percent year-on-year. The country's ICT imports increased 5.6 percent year-on-year to 10.9 billion USD, resulting in a trade surplus of 5.81 billion USD.

By product, South Korea's exports of semiconductors and display panels fell 3% and 5.1%, respectively.
However, South Korea's global mobile phone sales jumped 33.3% year-on-year, while exports of computers and communications equipment also surged 26.9% and 74.1%, respectively.
By country, ICT shipments to the US increased 11.5% year-on-year, and those to Vietnam increased 15.6%. Exports to Thailand and India increased 124.3% and 54.9%, respectively.
However, ICT exports to China fell 19.6% mainly due to a significant drop in semiconductor exports amid US restrictions on exports of high-bandwidth memory chips to China.
Shipments to the European Union fell 7.6% and to Japan fell 5.7% year-on-year in February, data showed.
